FW/1 1.1 Release Candidate 2 Available

Just a brief note to say that RC2 of FW/1 1.1 is available for download from the FW/1 project page on RIAForge. It contains a few small enhancements since RC1 in the area of URL generation (for buildURL() and redirect()) as well as a number of bug fixes identified by my fabulous team of testers on the FW/1 mailing list. Unless any new bugs are found in the next week of testing, RC2 will become the official 1.1 release on June 11th.

Planning for release 1.2 is already underway and a branch for 2.0 will also be created as soon as 1.1 is released. FW/1 2.0 will be mostly a code cleanup release, moving entirely to a script-based CFC, and therefore changing the list of supported platforms, as well as substantially cleaning up the API and request scope variable usage. 1.2 will be the last release of FW/1 for the current broad range of supported platforms and the 1.2 enhancements will be folded into 2.0 but after 1.2, only bug fixes will be made on the 1.x stream.

Is there a plan to implement to not to extend the fw.cfc with Appplicaion.cfc ?

thats is one of thing some of our dev team really like. just curious

@Manithan, there's an open issue for that and after I've refactored the code for 2.0 it may well be easier to make that work:

Hi,

I think there is a tiny bug in the /skeleton/Application.cfc.
Line 4 should read variables.framework instaed of variables.frameworks.

Sean, I get this error message after clicking on download button on riaforge.org
#<Memcached::SystemError: Errno 115: "Operation now in progress". Key {"archive-seancorfield-fw1-v1.0-79-g0543463.zip"=>"memcache5:11211:8"}>

As is doesn't seem to be sitting on riaforge, I thought I asked you first before I shoot a message over to Ray....
Or am I missing something?

@Birgit, looks like github is having problems with its zip servers.
