An Architect's View

TextMate, CFML, Scala, Git

Another note to self. I love TextMate! It's my primary code editor for most work these days (on Mac OS X). It's lightweight and extensible and there are lots of bundles available for it. Rob Rohan has created TextMate bundles for ColdFusion, Railo and BlueDragon - I use the Railo one day-in, day-out and I'm very happy with the syntax highlighting and shortcuts it provides. I've also started doing some Scala work recently and there is a pretty good TextMate bundle for Scala as well. And of course a bundle for Git - which is also self-updating (from git)!

Sean - I wholeheartedly second your sentiments about TextMate. I found it relatively recently while looking for a decent CakePHP editor on OS X, and I only wish I could use it on my Windows machine here at work while developing CFML. I'm currently using Eclipse, but I really get pissed off about its bloat at times, regardless of the built-in feature set and that CF Builder is based on it.

Where can I find the ColdFusion bundle for TextMate? All the links I find in Google search including your link above fails.

@Bruce, no idea. I saw cftextmate tweeting but was surprised to see the domain has gone away. I've asked them on Twitter about the site... I'll post a comment here when I know more.
