Open BlueDragon on IRC

If you're an IRC fan, there are two channels on chat.freenode.net: #openbd for discussion of the OpenBD project and #cfml-lang for discussion of CFML itself.
Why freenode instead of dal.net (home of #coldfusion etc)?
Well, freenode is home to #ruby, #rubyonrails, #groovy as well as all the Smalltalk and Haskell channels. Given the nature of OpenBD, it seemed more appropriate to put the channels on freenode.

No matter what I tried, I just couldn't get Eclipse to run properly on 64-bit Ubuntu's JVM, so ended up "downgrading" to the 32-bit version. Rather drastic and a PITA, but it worked. Eclipse (and CFEclipse) now running apparently fine and BD up and running with Apache 2.2.8. I can't wait to play with it in the days to come :)
I installed the commercial evaluation edition of BD as I'm easing myself back into ColdFusion and I thought the Admin Panel would make life easier while I'm re-adjusting. I'll hit the 'Free' version and its XML config when I'm up to speed again.
If anyone is interested in running BlueDragon (Free or Commercial) on Ubuntu, drop me a line (service:gmail, mailbox:rlancefield) if you encounter any issues or problems and I'll send you the install steps I used. More efficiently, I'll write them up on my blog and report back here when I've done so.
No doubt I'll be dropping in to Freenode for some advice over the coming weeks and months ;)
