An Architect's View

My Most Played Album

May 11, 2006 ·

I occasionally hint that I'm a big, big fan of music and listen to a lot of MP3 (and therefore I'm a big fan of Apple's iTunes Music Store!). I thought I'd share my most played album since I think it's a band that is very, very talented and deserves a broader audience: Caveman Shoestore - Super Sale. If you think they sound a little bit like Soft Machine, bear in mind they've done a couple of albums with Hugh Hopper. If you don't know what I'm talking about, check them out and also do some research on The Canterbury Sound... Best track? "Merry Go Treadmill". Enjoy!

i think they would maybe sell more albums if they were correctly genre'd

they are far from pop. thats an eclectic mix of trip hop jazzy funk break beat electronica if i have ever heard one.

holy shit that was like radiohead meets bjork meets portishead meets miles davis meets the streets.

wow. interesting peek into the mind of you. i like it, i think... i mean, i LOVE all of the aforementioned, and its right up my alley, during my electronica days that i have.

ill give it another listen tomorrow, and see if it grows on me... that'll be the deciding factor... but good lead, thanks!

Took me a while to figure out exactly what you were suggesting there Nick but, yeah, that does look cool / fun. If I get a free moment (hah!), I might try that.
