If you're an expert ColdFusion developer who has also become an expert Ruby developer, I'd like to
hear from you. I want to spend some time picking your brains, either on IM or email, if you have the time.

I wouldn't consider myself an expert Ruby programmer by any means, but I do love it! But, you and I have had plenty of discussion about this. Don't tell me you finally listened to reason and have seen The Light?? ;) "A Rubyist's View?"

Sean, I do know there are a few ColdFusion developers on the RoR email list. I don't know their skill level with either language but if you're looking to cast a wider net, it might be worth your time to post your question there.

Crikey, now there's a post I never thought I would see on this site.
Just for clarification's sake Sean - are you talking about Ruby or Rails in particular?
Also - if you are interested please take a look at http://www.rubygarden.org/survey/

I did a bit of ruby before Rails was released, then when rails was released had a quick look at it, but rails had only been out several hours and would most likely have evolved a lot since then. but for me I'm not into scaffolding and pretty much anything with fancy words to describe something basic.
I've not touched ruby since it became a buzz word. I started learning it as I was told by a friend (another cf dev) who had been using ruby for about 2 years at the time that a good OO scripting language for me to improve my skills on was ruby, it's ok for a dabble here and there or if you want to waste ya time rambling buzz words but I don't see how it can help any of my business models.

Does Python count or do you want just Ruby people?

Thanx to everyone who replied privately - I think I have enough volunteers for what I need.

Sean,
I have been developing with Ruby for a couple of years. Let me know if you are still interested in chatting with people.
