Broadchoice Delivers First On-Demand Web Platform to Build Corporate Communities and Increase Marketing EffectivenessEverything my team have been working on for the last six months is a reality. We're live. Web sites powered by Broadchoice, powered by ColdFusion 8.0.1 on 64-bit Linux.New Broadchoice Web Platform Integrates Social Networking, Web Content, Marketing Campaigns, and Dynamic Analytics for $1 per Registered User.
So maybe "deployed" just means that the platform is running on a server with all the defaults?
Sorry, I don't mean to be a pill...I'm sure you guys have an excellent product that will be very successful, but it looks like you need to reign in your marketing guys a bit.
The Broadchoice platform is completely on-demand, i.e., a hosted service - so deployment is a matter of matching brand colors using the interactive site designer tool, uploading a corporate logo and other imagery and then just updating content as you see fit.
CRM integration is provided via SalesForce.com out-of-the-box with campaign data flowing in and pipeline information flowing out so that you can easily see how successful your advertising / email campaigns are.
Remember, this is intended to be a zero-IT-involvement system. It is aimed at people who don't need or want to spend lots of time and money on bespoke software!
Ok, now that you explain it that way, I understand it a lot better. Zero IT is not what I generally think of when I see these kinds of services, because...well, I'm in our IT department. ;)
I still take issue with the branding, though. Maybe most companies would be happy with the simple steps you described, but our Corporate Communications department would not let that fly. We'd have to spend hours, or maybe even days or weeks to satisfy their stiff requirements. We've been through that before with another hosted service, and it was NOT fun. The vendor told us "It's totally customizable!" We still use that line as an inside joke...
